This is the best overall Mewtwo for pokemon firered and leafgreen. NOTE: This set is for overall game play, not for specific situations or settings. Mewtwo Modest Nature Item: Twistedspoon or Leftovers, for one time use: Petaya Berry or White Herb EV Training: 80HP, 0ATK, 20DEF, 255SP.ATK, 50SP.DEF, 105SPD Moveset: Psychic, Ice Beam, Calm Mind, Recover Psychic: Every mewtwo should have this move. For two reasons, 1 the STAB bonus, 2 a mewtwo isnt mewtwo if it doesnt know psychic. This attack will kill anything that isnt resistant to psychic in 1 or 2 hits. Twistedspoon or Petaya berry will make sure of that. Ice Beam: Mewtwo has an unbelievably high SP.ATK, combined with its modest nature; it will be foolish not to have special attacks. Replace this with thunderbolt or flamethrower if youd like, I personally enjoy the freezing effect. Calm Mind: Why not make the special attacks even deadlier? Mewtwo will almost always with stand a turn or two of attacks. So dont be afraid to boost your stats a little. Recover: Mewtwo is an amazing Pokémon, it would be such a waste for it to faint. Keep it in the game a little longer with recover. Leftovers will contribute a little to that as well. Mewtwo is pretty much the best Pokémon that can be caught in FR/LG (Yes, even better than Charizard). Mewtwo has high speed, high attack power and decent HP. Making it an awesome special sweeper.
