This episode of One Step Beyond was originally aired in two parts. The air dates are believed to be April 19th, 1960 and April 26th, 1960. I have combined them into a series of six episodes. The Peter Hurkos Story is a quite fascinating accounting of psychic phenomenon. Declared the psychic marvel of the twentieth century, Peter Hurkos began his incredible journey in Amsterdam during World War II. The year was 1944 when Hurkos fell fifty feet from the top of a building and miraculously survived. After spending six days in a coma, he awakens to discover that he hears voices and is terribly disturbed over this experience. With the help of his landlady, Hurkos begins to channel this new phenomenon in a positive manner and begins a career as a performing clairvoyant. That is only the beginning of his new life however, a life that will take Hurkos on a bizarre journey. Albert Salmi appears as Peter Hurkos.
