Is a Phone Reading Accurate?

I have been asked this so many times that it has prompted me to write this article.

Years ago, when I was a young girl, I would be taken to the local fayre, and invariably my Mother would head for the sign named fortune teller. My Father would look up to the heavens and say “what are you wasting your money on this mumbo jumbo for”. My Mother would act nonchalant, but there would be a firm grip on my hand with a determination in her eyes, as she guided me into the dark red tent.

Of course I don’t remember everything the fortune teller said, but I was amazed at some of the things she got right, even then, I thought to myself how did she do it?

As the years went by, I learnt that some fortune tellers would look at what you wore,

including your shoes, jewellery, and hands. They would look to see if they were soft or rough looking, and if they were really clever, they could tell if you played a musical instrument by the marks and bumps on your fingers.

I am not for one minute, suggesting that all Psychics, Fortune tellers, Clairvoyants are like this, but it brings me to the question: Is a Phone Reading accurate? Well, firstly

a Psychic has no way of knowing that you have a Rolex watch or a Mickey Mouse watch! Yes I know what you’re probably thinking; ah! the voice, if they are well spoken then they are loaded and probably have two Rolexes! I know of a certain person from an aristocracy background, who doesn’t have two pennies to rub together, but has a beautiful speaking voice!

When a Psychic performs a phone reading they tune into you via the phone. It’s almost like you’re the transmitter and they are the radio, picking up things about you. The more tuned in they become to you, the more accurate the phone reading is. Sometimes they will use the tarot, astrology or many other methods; this helps them magnify what is coming through for you. Sometimes the reader just won’t be able to tune into you. This doesn’t mean they are not good; it’s just that they are not the right reader for you. But, please don’t go testing your reader throughout the phone reading, as this will block any information coming through.

I have a policy, that if my reader does not connect with you within 5 minutes, then you may call back reception and ask for another reader. So, my answer to the question: Is a Phone Reading accurate? I believe they can be one of the most accurate methods of looking at the various choices you have for the future.

Tarot cards are fun, entertaining and are great for helping us to find direction to solve our problems. If you want to learn how to read tarot cards, the first thing you need to do is to buy a deck. Sometimes, a used deck is good, but only if it has come from an advanced reader or from someone that you know and trust. Most people will tend to go out and buy a brand new deck, however.

When you are searching for your deck, take a close look at the cards and the illustrations on them. Quite often, a deck will magically “speak” to you, signifying that it is the deck for you. The only two other things you are going to need are a notebook for writing down questions and reading results, and a nice, handy pencil or pen.

To get started, clear out a clean space inside your home free of clutter and distractions. Have a radio by your side to play soft music in order to enhance readings and concentration. You do not always have to listen to music; however, some people prefer to perform their readings in complete silence that is fine. Just choose whatever works for you and your concentration level the best. In order to enhance concentration even more, try lighting a candle or two near you while you are doing your readings.

Here is the order of steps in which to follow once you have gotten your deck out and ready to use:

1) Once you have taken your deck out of the box, separate the Minor Arcana cards from the Major Arcana cards.

2) Some people may choose to flip one portion of the deck upside down while leaving the other right side up, although, this is optional.

3) Shuffle your deck thoroughly at least 5 times. This will allow you to touch every single card at least once and spread your energies over the cards.

4) Once you have asked your question, you may want to try the simple spread. This consists of 4 cards in a diamond shape, it is usually best for beginners, and still provides accurate answers.

5) If you are letting someone else ask the question, you may want to let them cut the deck and choose the cards, although this is also optional.

6) The Minor Arcana cards will suggest the strongest messages while the Major Arcana may seemingly represent background influences.

7) If you choose to turn some of the deck upside down, it can change the meanings. For example, say that the “soul mates” card has been chosen and it is turned upside down, this might possibly mean that your soul mate is being blocked off by some other influence.

8) Go with the flow during your readings, if a card pops up that does not make sense; try to imagine what it might possibly mean. Most of the time, your initial instinct is the right one.

Now that you know how to perform a tarot card reading, make sure that you store your deck away in a safe place after readings. You may use a soft cloth to wrap the cards up in, making sure that they do not pick up any negative energy. Keep them hidden if you live with other people, if someone else touches them that you do not allow to, they could potentially affect them and bring different energies to them. The cup should then be swirled around with the left hand three times in a clockwise direction so that the tealeaves are in a state of suspension. It is then flipped quickly facedown onto a napkin, which has been placed on the saucer thus leaving the tealeaves on the bottom and sides of the cup.

In order to interpret the images it may help if you slightly squint your eyes as you look at the leaves and allow your imagination to roam. Making a mental note of what you see; begin reading the cup clockwise, the handle representing the day of the teacup reading should be facing the reader The rest of the cup is divided into twelve months with the six month position being directly facing the handle. The leaves near the brim of the cup have more importance than those near the bottom. Some psychics say that images facing anticlockwise represent the significance is departing, whilst images facing clockwise mean the person requesting the reading is moving towards the occurrence.

Iterpretation of the symbols can be either exactly as they appear, for example a house, may mean contentment and home, or symbolically ie combined with a bell may mean good news or an invitation on it’s way.
